Now you can help put the Greenbrier East Spartans in new football uniforms.
Starting in 2004, Greenbrier East will wear brand new football uniforms for the first time since 1999. But not only will the uniforms change, so will the style. The traditional Green Bay Packer-style uniform has been replaced by a new modern look. The Spartans will now wear green metallic helmets and green pants. The jerseys are patterned from the Atlanta Falcons. The team will wear a Spartan gold jersey for home games, and a white jersey for road contests.
For the first time since 1968, the Spartans will be adjusting their football uniform color schemes. The new blueprint has the endorsement of Greenbrier East's first head football coach, Bob Zopp. "I have personally seen the new uniform designs, and they are sharp. I really like them, and I think the community will, too," said Coach Zopp.
The cost to sponsor a uniform is $250. This includes a reconditioned/painted helmet, two new football jerseys, and a pair of new game pants. Donors will have the opportunity to select a specific jersey number, if desired. All sponsors will be honored with a permanent plaque to be displayed at the school, a sign to be displayed at Spartan Stadium, program recognition, and website recognition.
